Press Release: LAAMP Named "SA Innovator of the Year" at Core Innovation's Hot 30 Awards for Mining Innovation

Cortex Interactive’s LAAMP has been named SA’s Innovator of the Year at Core Innovation’s Hot 30 Awards. The LAAMP platform is designed to enhance learning and assessment management for the mining and heavy resource industries by providing a digital approach to training and assessment. The award recognises LAAMP’s innovative and proprietary technology that provides practical solutions to create a more efficient and safer workplace to future-proof industries in mining, energy, resources, oil & gas, space, and defence.

Our goal with LAAMP is to revolutionise the training and development by fully digitising it. This empowers organisations to effectively manage, train, and develop a remote and dispersed workforce.

The result is significant cost and time efficiencies, as well as transferable skills for the workforce through our digital passports. We’re honoured to be awarded SA Innovator of the Year, which reinforces our commitment to cutting-edge innovation in the industry” says Tim Angel, Managing Director of LAAMP.

The LAAMP SaaS product has been developed by the Cortex Interactive team in South Australia and has been successfully scaled to address real-world problems. It has been rolled out globally to clients such as Thiess, the world’s largest mining services provider, as well as organisations like the Royal Flying Doctor Service in South Australia and the Northern Territory

LAAMP’s cutting-edge features such as accessibility in offline environments on any device, facial verification, digital audit trail, transferable skills passport, and real-time reporting set it apart from other traditional LMS solutions. The platform aims to protect, empower and connect the workforce of the future, especially in industries where teams are often dispersed, decentralised and running redundant paper-based systems.

South Australia’s LAAMP along with the full 2023 Hot 30 list represent the very best of our next generation of businesses which are developing new technologies and using innovation to solve real-world problems for Australia’s biggest industries,” says Renee Hakendorf, National Lead, CORE Innovation Hub. “CORE Innovation Hub is proud to use these awards to showcase the entrepreneurial prowess of new and evolving businesses and their significant contributions and advancement of solutions for the mining, energy, and resources sectors.
