What's New in LAAMP? A Deep-Dive Into Version 1.68.0
Training leaders know one thing for sure: progress doesn’t stand still. At LAAMP, we’re dedicated to providing updates that not only meet the changing needs of HR professionals, training managers, and compliance officers but anticipate what’s next.
LAAMP Version 1.68.0 is designed to streamline your training management experiences with refined features, enhanced functionality, and bug fixes. Whether you're overseeing large-scale training programs as a coordinator or optimising course delivery as a publisher, this release brings impactful updates tailor-made for your needs.
Here’s a detailed look at the enhancements.
Designed for Coordinators: Efficiency Meets Better Oversight
Creating seamless training workflows and clear managerial oversight remains a priority for coordinators. With this update, we’ve introduced new functionalities designed to make oversight simpler and more insightful.
1. Enhanced QR Scan Results for Better Readability
QR codes are essential for quick access to training data. With LAAMP V1.68.0, the QR scan results have received significant styling updates to improve readability and highlight key information. Whether scanning on mobile or desktop, important data is now front and center, making decision-making even faster.
2. Visibility into Team’s Expiring Certifications
Crew Trainers now have direct access to upcoming expiries for their team members. This enhancement empowers Crew Trainers to better support coordinators by taking proactive steps to manage expirations. The result? Less workload for coordinators and a smoother delegation process.
3. “First Run” Disclaimer Requirement Enforced
An important update for compliance-driven training programs! Users can no longer skip the “First Time Run” disclaimer screen. This ensures that every learner fully acknowledges their responsibilities before beginning their assigned training.
4. Notifications for Training Needs Analysis (TNA) Changes
Managing training needs can be overwhelming, especially across multiple roles and locations. Coordinators will now receive automatic notifications whenever a role at their location has modifications made to its Training Needs Analysis (TNA). Real-time alerts keep you informed, minimising manual monitoring efforts.

5. Fixed Competency Order on Pathways
A smoother learner experience means higher training completion rates. We’ve fixed a pressing issue where competencies could previously be completed out of order when accessed through a task list. This update ensures that training pathways are followed in a logical learning sequence.
For Publishers: Better Tools for Better Learning
For those enhancing the delivery of courses across their organization, our updates for publishers focus on customization and simplicity. From expanding question types to improving competency assignment controls, here’s what’s new:
6. “Drag to Match” - A New Question Type
Interactive learning just got a boost! Publishers can now use "Drag to Match" questions to provide a more engaging learning experience for users. This intuitive question type not only enhances information retention but also helps test cognitive associations between terms and concepts. It’s education, but engaging.
7. Better Competency Publication Controls
Training just got more flexible! Publishers now have three options for competency publishing:
Publish: Users who already have the competency will keep it with their current version. They will automatically get the latest version when they renew.
Publish and Reissue: Users keep their competency for the version they completed but need to finish the updated courses to stay current.
Publish and Expire: All users will have their competency marked as "expired" until they complete the new training.
These tailored publishing controls give publishers the freedom to adjust training requirements without unnecessary confusion.
8. Fixes to Cloned Courses
Consistency is key, and a few bugs previously hindered this for cloned courses:
Course Type Updates: Cloned courses now correctly inherit the parent course type, reducing manual interventions.
Page Lock Settings: Skippable page settings no longer reset during cloning, ensuring a consistent learner experience across courses.
Addressing Known Issues
At LAAMP, continuous improvement is part of our commitment to you. We’re currently implementing a refinement to how course content is displayed, ensuring the experience remains aligned with the high standards our partners rely on. The update is being applied progressively, and we’ll share more details once it’s complete.

Version 1.68.0 is yet another step in our mission to provide HR professionals, training managers, and compliance officers with a platform that delivers exceptional results with minimal effort. With enhanced coordination tools and more efficient publishing features, LAAMP continues to set a new standard in simplifying training management.
